Today on 22 October 2024, an Inter-House Debate Competition was held at our school, where all four Houses actively participated. Each House was represented by 4 students, making a total of 16 participants. The competition was conducted in three rounds, and the best students were selected for the final round to debate on the topic "AI: Boon or Bane". In this round, nine students out of the sixteen participated, and all delivered outstanding speeches. Sanan Bhat of Class X secured the 1st position, representing KALPANA HOUSE Khushboo Jan of Class X, from SHERWANI HOUSE, secured the 2nd position. Owais Khan, also from Class X, belonging to SHERWANI HOUSE, claimed the 3rd position. Hadiya Nazir of Class VIII, representing NEHWAL HOUSE achieved the 4th position. These top-performing students were felicitated and awarded prizes by the Chief Guest, Capt. shravan Kumar. Additionally, all House Captains were recognized and awarded for their excellent leadership and performances during the competition....

AGS Wayne organised a program on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on 21/09/2024 in which teachers and students participated.

The 78th Independence Day was celebrated at AGS Wayne, with Colonel Harpreet Singh, the Commanding Officer of 160 TA, serving as the chief guest. The ceremony was attended by Lt. Col.CJ Ranade, the OIC AGS Wayne alongwith various officers and featured the hoisting of the tricolor flag. Students participated in a variety of cultural programs, bringing vibrant energy to the event. The crowd enjoyed the celebrations immensely, making it a memorable occasion for everyone present....

24 students—14 boys and 10 girls—along with two teachers, will be visiting IIIM Srinagar, Sanat Nagar for two days workshop on 08 and 09/August 2024 under jagsaya CSIR IIIM.
The students had a highly enriching experience during their visit to IIIM Srinagar. They toured various labs, including the Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Biology labs, where they had the opportunity to interact with expert scientists.

The scientists guided the students through various lab activities, providing hands-on experiences that truly engaged and excited them. The practical exposure helped the students gain a deeper understanding of scientific concepts and sparked their interest in exploring science further....

A medical team from 160 TA JAK RIF visited AGS WAYNE on 31/July/24, to conduct health check-ups for the students.The team of doctors accessed the students physical health,provided necessary treatments or advice and ensured that any health issues were addressed promptly.

On 27 July 2024 we had planned an excursion to TP Dringyari for students of classes from 2nd to 12th. The students were very excited and they enjoyed the trip. They were involved in many activities.

On July 26, 2024, inter house quiz competition was held at AGS Wayne to celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas. Eight teams from four different houses participated in the event, and the team from Kalam House emerged as the winner of the quiz competition.
Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated every 26 July in India, to observe India's victory over Pakistan in the Kargil war for ousting Pakistani forces from their occupied positions on the mountain tops of Northern Kargil District in Ladakh in 1999....

The school is going to open again tomorrow on 18/07/2024 after summer vacation and class work will resume as per schedule.

JKSSS Exam was held in our school today on 14/07/2024.161 examination forms were received for JKSSS exam out of which only 131 students appeared in this examination.

Agswayne,Saturday organized a programme to celebrate the Gandhi Jayanti - Birthday of India's founding father of India Mohandas Karam Chand Gandhi. Students of AGS Wayne celebrated Bapu's 152th birth anniversary.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AT AGS WAYNE

Gen. AGS Wayne was seen prepared to kick off the annual celebration to mark the historic moment when India got freedom from colonial rule in 1947. This year, August 15, 2021, Kupwara Terriers org ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ at AGS Wayne to mark the 75th celebration of our Independence.

Aim. To instil patriotic values and sensitivity for the country amongst the youth of Kupwara.

Conduct. In the post-pandemic era, the day saw some immensely vibrant events put up by the students of AGS Wayne, Kupwara cultural academy and children from Martial Art Academy, Kupwara. The celebrations were presided by the Secretary, Col Swaraj Bhattacharya along with OIC, Lt Col Gaurav Pathania. The celebration marked its beginning with unfurling of Tricolour by a senior ESM Hony (Capt) Mohm Yakoob Khan, 3 JAKLI along with NCC Students displayed immaculate marching and presenting guard of honour to the tri colour adding nationalistic ambiance to its full potential. The event, thereafter, unfolded into a bouquet of cultural extravagance put up by the students to include songs, group dances and patriotic speech. The nationalist spirit rose to greater heights when the audience witnessed some heart melting patriotic songs delivered by singers from Kupwara cultural academy and Martial art display from the children of Martial art academy, Kupwara. The celebrations also included felicitation of class Xth and Xth toppers by the secretary, Col Swaraj Bhattacharya who applauded their efforts for inspiring others and achieving new heights and in academic excellence. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by the school principal, Mr Tariq Ah Tariq followed by refreshments for guests, Students and teaching staff respectively.



Conclusion. The ESMs, Sarpanches, BDC members and parents attending the celebration were filled with immense pleasure and pride witnessing the zeal and patriotic fervour amongst the children as part of the celebration. They also extended their gratitude to Kupwara Terriers in org this national commemoration befittingly under the prevailing challenging security situation. The endeavour to raise awareness on the ideals of the Constitution and instil national spirit among the youth of Kupwara was seen met with utmost compassion and solemnity.

Continuing with the Jawan - Awaam connect & the motto of " *TOGETHER WE FIGHT, TOGETHER WE WIN* " Indian Army has been fighting the COVID Pandemic shoulder to shoulder with the brave health workers & the Civil Administration as J&K grapples with a record number of coronavirus cases in the second wave.

The *Indian Army Kupwara Terriers* has established a *COVID Care Facility* at Army Goodwill School, Wayne, kupwara under the aegis of *HQ 28 Inf Div* where 50 beds have been set up for treating civilians referred by the District Medical Officer, Kupwara .

The facility has an experienced and dedicated team of Army doctors and paramedics to take care of Covid-19 patients. Also it houses a Pathology lab and a dispensary to cater for COVID prescriptions free of cost.

The facility was inaugurated by DC Kupwara, Shri Imamdin on *09 Jun 21* with Senior Army Officials, Army Doctors, CMO Kupwara & Chief Information Officer, Kupwara. On the occasion DC Kupwara thanked the Indian Army for this noble initiative & assured all possible support from district administration.

The first and second session of practical exam of class XII was conducted on 03 - 04 Apr 21 and 24 Apr 21 respectively. The subject exam was conducted under the supervision of External Examiners nominated by CBSE.

The government has closed all the educational institutions due to the second dangerous wave of Covid-19 in entire j& k w.e.f.05 April 2021 till further orders.In view of rising trend in COVID-19 cases in j& k, decision was taken by the LG J&K for the closure of schools.
After closure, the school has resorted to conduct of zoom online classes for imparting seamless education....

To commemorate the green cover around kupwara and reiterate its importance, AGS Wayne celebrated the International Day of Forest on 27/03/21. Event was graced by the presence of DFO and Block officer Kupwara Dr Fayaz Ah Bhat and Mr Fayaz Ah Malik and Maj. Debashsih, this unit which was revelent and inspiring of the students. Event started which an address by the school Principal, Mr Tariq Ah on the significance of celebrating International day of Forest followed by planting of 25 Deodar saplings by Maj Debashish, guests and school students. A rally was also organized by the students to spread awareness amongst the locals on Importance of planting trees....
